Project: AIMS Surface Control Station for Reef Scan
Client: Australian Institute of Marine Science
Scope: Concept → MVP in 8 weeks
One of Cyborg’s fastest developments was the Surface Control Station design for AIMS in 2024, with requirements to initial prototype completed in 8 weeks.
Upon completion of the prototype, the system was handed over and tested in open water and further refined in the next iteration.
The scope of engineering included:
Component selection including monitors, batteries, switches, controls etc.
Processor selection based on system requirements inlcuding diagnostics and edge compute
Battery storage, GPS integration and compatibility with Ground Control software
Prehandover testing including GPS, battery life, water ingress and system setup
