Cyborg Supplies Key GNC services to ADF contracts

Brisbane-based robotics and artificial intelligence pioneer Cyborg Dynamics Engineering has formally been awarded two new subcontracts by Australian Defence Prime Systems Integrators. The agreements will see the company supply its advanced guidance, navigation, and low-level control (GNC) software architectures for Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) currently being delivered under contract to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Building on its legacy of high-performance uncrewed platforms and Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority engineering, these subcontracts position Cyborg Dynamics Engineering as a critical, sovereign services partner to defence OEMs operating on strategically funded projects.

The targeted development programs focus on delivering high-reliability, mission critical platforms to the warfighter:

  • Low-Level Flight Control Optimization: Tuning airframes for specific use cases, platform specification and environmental conditions.

  • Simulation and Modelling: Setting up and executing on large batch monte carlo simulations to improve the platform performance and support system assurance testing.

The development and integration work will be executed primarily at the partner’s facilities, being as close as possible to the engineering design process which is critical for GNC capabilities.
